The Prayer of the faithful

1. 1. For the Church, sent to proclaim Christ’s good news and live the gospel message ; and for the priests taking up

2. new assignment and the parishioners they must leave . [ We pray to the Lord ]  Lord, hear our prayer

3. 2. For those who leave all things to work for the betterment of others;

4. and for ears to hear the cry of the poor and dis-enfranchised . [ We pray to the Lord ]  Lord, hear our prayer

5. 3. For those suffering extreme heat, droughts or forest fires ; for the pursuit of peace

6. and the end to violence against innocent children, women and men . [ We pray to the Lord ]  Lord, hear our prayer

7. 4. For the sick and all facing pain and agony;

8. and for those in need of food and assistance . [ We pray to the Lord ]  Lord, hear our prayer
