Article II, Section 13 (Philippine Constitution) The State recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation building and shall promote and protect their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It shall incultcate in youth patriotism and nationalism in public and civic affairs.

Who are the youth? a diverse group with a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives 15-30 years old (Youth in Nation Building Act of 1995) 15-24 years old (World Health Organization) those within the adolence and early adulthood phase (Psychosoci a l Perspective)

Common Characteristics of the Youth Energetic Creative Open-minded Enthusiastic self-conciousness a strong sense of independence curiosity, among others

The youth play an important role in nation building as they are the future leaders of our community. They have the potential to bring about positive change and make significant contribution to society.
