The simple present tense is used to describe an action that happens often.
Let’s look at some examples:
We go to school
during the week.
School starts at
9 am every day.
I play hockey at
the weekend.

Let’s create a list of action verbs (a list of things that we can do).
Work with a partner and list as many action words as you can in 2 minutes.

‘es’ has been added to each verb?
When talking in the third person
singular, we add an ‘s’ or an ‘es’
to the verb.
