Introduction The Haiti earthquake of 2010 was a devastating natural disaster that struck near the capital city of Port-au-Prince on January 12, 2010. The magnitude 7.0 earthquake was soon followed by two aftershocks of magnitudes 5.9 and 5.5. That caused widespread destruction, claiming the lives of over 300,000 people and leaving millions homeless. The quake destroyed infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and government buildings, exacerbating an already precarious situation in one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere.This event became one of the worst natural disasters in history, forever changing Haiti. The international community responded with aid and support, but the road to recovery has been long and challenging for Haiti.

Hazard detection is very significant to be sure about a disaster and to deal with it. But so far there is no device or method through which we can detect earthquakes in advance 01 HAZARD DETECTION 02 03 04 In case of Haiti earthquake, There was no early warning provided or any such information was available EARLY WARNING Evacuation efforts in Haiti focus on transporting critically injured people outside port –au–prince EVACUATION 1.5 million individuals were forced into temporary housing. Shelter materials were provided to over 1.5 million Haitians.Housing solutions were provided for more than 328,000 individuals within five months post-disaster. SHELTERING

Search and rescue Within the first 24 hours post-earthquake, international search and rescue teams from 27 countries mobilized Six international teams concluded their missions within 48 hours. By January 23, when the Haitian government officially ended search and rescue operations, 134 individuals had been saved.Teams from 37 different countries participated in the rescue efforts .

HEALTH SERVICES In response to the disaster, the Department of Health and Human Services delivered care to over 31,365 individuals through Disaster Medical Assistance and International Medical Surgical Response Teams.Care provided included surgeries and childbirth. U.S. military medics treated an additional 9,800 people, conducting numerous surgeries, admissions, and evacuations.Federal Coordinating Centers were established to oversee medical evacuations to the U.S., aiding 89 critically ill patients.

MASS FATALITY MNAGEMENT deaths of approximately 220,000 individuals, including 102 United Nations employees. Tens of thousands of bodies have blocked the Streets and others are being deposited into enormous graves by bulldozers in large numbers. The government and Related organization were trying to investigation (DNA test) of bodies for handing over their relatives .

RELIEF In Haiti delivered emergency food aid to almost four million individuals in the initial three months post-earthquake. Ensure 1.3 million people had access to clean drinking water daily. On the first day, 600,000 emergency food rations were provided. The World Food Programe has prepositioned 3500 metric tons of food across the country to quickly respond to emergencies ,

SHORT TIME RECOVERY Haiti government took some short term recovery action to leading their living standards.The people who lost their home, the government provided temporary housing to living their condition. Repaired 683 homes in port au Prince and cabaret.:Implemented 19 critical infrastructure projects such as safe water, street lighting and improved sanitation.Also government donated 3.86 billion dollar to help recovery work in 2010 and 2011.

LONG TERM RECOVERY Constructed 300 permanent house in Leogane and 5000 adaptable shelters have been built secure homes. For long term economic growth, Approximately 2100 new jobs attainable. Haiti which have 60% unemployment rate, 6600 people were trained in construction financial literacy, business development .

ECONOMIC RECOVERY The government's strategy includes establishing Integrated Economic Zones to foster economic growth and job creation in the formal sector, potentially generating over 380,000 jobs in the next two decades. This approach seeks to both create stable jobs in the formal sector and improve conditions in the informal sector

HOUSING RECOVERY The American Red Cross played a significant role in housing recovery, allocating $182 million (37% of its collected donations) for housing initiatives, benefiting over 164,800 people with safe housing and neighborhood recovery, and providing emergency shelter to 860,000 individuals immediately after the disaster .

CONCLUSION The earthquake in Haiti caused significant destruction in terms of both casualties and infrastructure. Both the Haitian government and US officials and also other countries responded promptly to provide aid and support. The recovery efforts were comprehensive, ranging from economic to housing recovery. Despite enduring numerous aftershocks, the Haitian people eventually managed to resume their normal lives.
