Theories on Factors Affecting Motivation Attribution theory Self-efficacy theory Goal theory Self-detemination and Self-regulation theory Choice theory - they have some choice and control regarding the things they do (self-determination) - person’s ability to master himself and capable of directing himself (self-regulation) - a theory that looked at how people interpret success and failure. - an individual's belief in his or her capacity to execute behaviors necessary to produce specific performance attainments - states that achievement goals are developed by a learner to attain new skills or knowledge - a biological theory that suggest that we are born with specific needs that we are genetically instructed to satisfy, (LOCUS, STABILITY, CONTROLLABILITY) Make sure students master basic skills. Help them make noticeable progress on difficult tasks. Communicate confidence in students’ abilities through words and actions. Expose them to successful peers. Mastery-Focused and Performance-Focused Present rules and instructions in information manner rather than controlling manner. Provide opportunities for students to make choice. Evaluate students performance in a non-controlling fashion. Belonging or connection, power and competence, freedom, and fun

Most significantly, motivation makes us want to do something. Completing the action without it can be difficult, if not impossible. And as a future educator, I must provide to my future students to inspire them to work hard to achieve their goals and to stay motivated in everything they do. Give one teaching application for each motivation theory. Self-management is the best way to apply in teaching. Having self-management is you have a higher chance of becoming successful at work. This is because the abilities enable you to stay productive and enjoy your freedom. Even if you believe your abilities in this area are inadequate, there are numerous ways to develop them.
