end of global warming, and for my family and I to be the richest people on Earth. I would know
exactly what to wish for if I had the chance. My first wish would be, peace on Earth. I wouldn't
want a war to happen in the United States. Everything needs to be equal and everyone needs to
have the same rights. Freedom of speech, freedom of petition, freedom of press, freedom of
religion, freedom of assembly, and everyone needs those same exact rights. I would just like

2. A Wish Granted: A Short Story
A Wish Granted "I wish you'd die," I whispered that on the night of July 22, 2013. I lay in bed
thinking about my, unfortunately, biological father. I was comparing him to my step–dad. Did I
think he could've ever been as close of a father like my step–dad? A few days ago, he had promised
to pick me up earlier that evening so that we could spend a whole day together the following day,
but he never showed up. Many times this had happened and I couldn't take it anymore longer. I
looked at the clock and it ticked slowly, it seemed to be more tired than I was. A second seemed
like a minute, a minute seemed like an hour, the night seemed like an eternity. I anxiously waited
for sleep to engulf me. Hours later when the night sky was no longer black, like the ocean without
the sun, but dark blue with only a few stars left to see, I was finally falling asleep. All of a sudden
a cold, harsh breeze flew in through my window and it frightened me so much that it made me a
statute. For the rest of that night I sat in bed preoccupied with my thoughts. When the sunlight
gradually brought light to the world, I could hear my grandmother getting ready to start another day
of housewife chores. She would make breakfast, clean the house, and even water the plants. I rose
from bed when I heard my grandmother in the kitchen. The rich, familiar smell of hot chocolate

The first character is Mr. Peters from the story "The Third Wish." The conflict they had to
overcome was man versus self. This changed how Mr. Peters viewed the world, nature, and how
he saw the greed on human nature. Mr. Peters was driving down the highway one day when he
heard a faint cry in the woods and went to investigate. When he saw it was a wounded swan he
untangled him and let the swan go. As a reward for his duties Mr. Peters was granted three wishes
for anything that he wanted and their would be no consequence against the wish. Mr. Peters
delighted by his new wishes was empty minded for what to wish for, he felt as if he was fully
