KATSE DAM Katse dam was built as a part of the first phase of the LesothoHighlands water Project, which will eventually include five large dams. The idea of came from South African civil engineer, Ninham Shand, who identified it as a way to channel water supply to south Africa. Water has been redirected to aid Maseru in times of dangerous shortages in Lesotho. This project was created to generate electricity. Maletsunyane fall also known in some source as Semonkong fall is a single drop waterfall that is located on the Maletsunyane river to the town of Semomkong in the Southern African Kingdom of Lesotho. The name Semonkong translate to the site of smoke which is unique. Its one of the adorable waterfall in Lesotho and its visited by many tourists from south Africa . BOKONG NATURE RESERVE Bokong nature reserve is one the highest reserves in Africa. It lies at the top of the mafika lisiu pass, leading to Katse dam and reaches an altitudes of 3090m above the sea level. Bokong reserve calls loud and clear to briders, being an ideal place from which to see bearded vultures as well as bird species. BOKONG NATURE RESERVE

THABA BOSIU Thaba Bosiu is one of the most special place to visit during your Lesotho tour. It is considered to be the birthplace of the Basotho nation, and country`s major historical events have taken place there and find the major king buried there. MAFIKA LISIU PASS Mafika lisiu pass is one of the most dramatic and beautiful tarred passes in Lesotho. It was build ahead of the construction of katse Dam to provide an all-weather road suitable for the large trucks. It won an international engineering award for its design and engineering excellence. It connects Hlotse and Pitseng in the west with Ha Lejone in the east. There is large, safe and well constructed viewing point. By Trygve Roberts 2024. MAFIKA LISIU

CONCLUSION To sum up, tourists are the main people that has the potential to stimulate the economic growth of the country. It become importance for all citizen to develop the tourism infrastructure and maintain tourists destinations. Eg roads constructions, hotels and airports.
