OBJECTIVE OF SIDRA INTERSECTION The objective of SIDRA INTERSECTION is to provide transportation engineers and planners with a comprehensive software tool for analyzing, designing, and optimizing traffic intersections. the key objectives of SIDRA INTERSECTION: Traffic Flow Analysis : SIDRA INTERSECTION allows users to model and analyze the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at intersections. By simulating various traffic scenarios, users can assess intersection performance metrics such as delay, queuing, level of service, and capacity.. Intersection Design : facilitThe software ates the design of efficient and safe intersection layouts by considering factors such as geometric configurations, lane assignments, signal timings, and pedestrian facilities. Engineers can explore different design alternatives and evaluate their effectiveness in meeting traffic demands.
Signal Timing Optimization : SIDRA INTERSECTION enables users to optimize signal timings and phasing plans to minimize delays, reduce congestion, and improve overall intersection efficiency. By adjusting signal parameters such as cycle length, green times, and coordination strategies, engineers can enhance traffic flow and operational performance. Research and Education : SIDRA INTERSECTION serves as a valuable tool for conducting research studies and educational activities in the field of transportation engineering. Researchers can use the software to investigate innovative intersection designs, evaluate emerging technologies, and analyze the effectiveness of traffic management measures.
APPLCATION OF SIDRA INTERSCTION The SiDRA INTERSECTION software finds applications in various aspects of transportation Intersection Design Traffic Analysis Signal Timing Optimization Safety Assessment Urban Planning Research and Education

-SIDRA INTERSECTION allows capacity model options. The main options are:- -SIDRA standard - US HCM 6 - US HCM 2010 _When SIDRA INTERSECTION capacity model is selected two tabs will be visible namely :- The opions and -Roudabout data tabs When US HCM 6 capacity model option selected the relevant HCM 6 data tabs also available. IF selected the option in roundabout level of service (LOS) method and delay model group in respectively the roundabout capacity choosen change to HCM delay formula and exclude geometry delay paramers will apply to all site type. HCM Roundabout capacity model extension capacity model extension parameters are applicable only if the selected capacity model is US HCM6 or US HCM 2010 Other roundabout models includes secondary model provided for research presentive. METERED ROUND example The roundabout entering will appear in addition to other tabs. -click view display to view the layout pictures -the roundabout layout tab includes varies design and control parametrs. Its necessary roundabout with the image to define meteric and controls approaches. In except layout picture as make changes to ensure to obtain the desire combination of meter and controling approaches The input parameter include time option and phase data groups
