DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

Create a Document 1 Three Options: Ribbon, Start Tab Workspace Drag-and-drop file Can drag-and-drop multiple files at once b a c

Create a Document 2 Select the document type from the list Document types often have custom attributes Fill in all fields Red upper left corner is a Required field Select Create Custom Attributes

Create a Document 3 When dragging-and-dropping multiple files you can select default values After selecting default values, you will confirm each document one at a time

Create a Document 4 Document will appear in tab ‘New Documents’

EDIT FILE 8 Edit the file associated with a document, three options: Ribbon, Start tab Ribbon, Edit tab Right-Click The file will open in its third-party application b a c

EDIT FILE 9 Opening a file to edit downloads a local copy of the file Turnkey PLM monitors the local copy for changes If you change the file Turnkey PLM will prompt if you want to save and upload

MS OFFICE INTEGRATION 10 MS Office products with the integration installed will have a Turnkey PLM tab Word Excel PowerPoint OneNote

MS OFFICE INTEGRATION 11 Ctrl-S save will save a local copy of the document To save to Turnkey PLM, select Save in the Turnkey PLM integration ribbon For a new document, check-in wizard will open For an existing document, changes to document will be saved to Turnkey PLM at the same version

MS OFFICE INTEGRATION 12 When opening saved MS Office documents from Turnkey PLM Turnkey PLM information is at the bottom of the screen Document number Mode Opened for viewing if “Display” is selected in Turnkey PLM Opened for editing if “Edit” is selected in Turnkey PLM

MS OFFICE INTEGRATION 13 If you close without having saved back to Turnkey PLM you will be prompted if you want to save

NEW FROM TEMPLATE 14 Selecting ‘New from template’ will open Turnkey PLM to select a document to act as a template

NEW FROM TEMPLATE 15 Select the template from Turnkey PLM You may use any document with a compatible file type You can search, open recent documents, and generally navigate to the document any way you want

NEW FROM TEMPLATE 16 After selecting the template, the Check-In Wizard for a new document will open All fields will default to the values of the template document

NEW FROM TEMPLATE 17 A copy of the selected file will be made, and a new document created New document number will appear in the header New document information will appear at the bottom

NEW FROM TEMPLATE 18 In Turnkey PLM the new document will appear in a New Documents tab
