The Panchmahabhuta theory Ayurveda believes that everything in this universe is made from the Panch Mahabhuta . This panchmahabhutas are Space ( Akash ), Air ( Vayu ), Fire ( Agni), Water( Aap), Earth ( Prithivi ). The human body is also made from this panchmahabhutas . The dosha’s , the dhatus , the mala all have this panchmahabhut .

Tridosha : Base of health These three dosha’s or biostatic energy are made from panchmahabhut namely Space( akaash ), Air ( Vayu ), fire ( Agni), Earth( Prithvi) Water( jal ). These dosha’s known as Vata, Pitta and Kapha . This dosha’s are responsible for all biological, physiological and phycological functions of human body Health of a person depends on the balance of 3 Dosha’s that is Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Whereas the imbalance leads to diseases.

Tridosha & Panchmahabhut Vata dosha = Space ( Akassh ) + Air( Vayu ) Pitta dosha = Fire ( Agni) + Water ( Jal ) Kapha dosha = Earth ( Prithvi) + Water ( Jal )
