THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
The digestive system break down food into substances that blood can
absorb. This is called digestion.
The digestive system consists of the digestive tract and the digestive
glands.
THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
The circulatory system consists of the heart and blood vessels.
The heart is the organ that pumps blood around the body.
Blood vassels carry blood around the body.
THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
The respiratory system is made up of the respiratory tract and the
lungs.
When we inhale, our diaphragm contracts and moves down.
When we exhale, our diaphragm and intercostal muscles relax.
THE URINARY SYSTEM
The urinary system expels the waste products carried by the blood from
the cells. The urinary system consists of the kidneys, the ureters, the
bladdeer and the urethra.
Some people's kidneys do not work properly so they have to connect to
a dialysis machine to stay healthy.
