10 percent more loan on KCC
The farmers will be given three benefits due to the lockdown. Bankers and Agriculture Department
have started preparations for this. The farmers' pre-existing Kisan Credit Card limit has been
increased by 10 percent.
They will get more than three months to repay the loan. Insurance on loans will no longer be
necessary under the Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana. If the farmers have given a written letter of not
getting insurance, the instalment of insurance will not be taken.
All banks have been ordered to give loans to their KCC holders 10 percent more than their limit
amount. If the loan has already been taken, then farmers will be able to take additional amount of
10 percent later on the application.
Now farmers will be able to sell wheat at the purchase center without token
So far 4,298 tonnes of wheat has been purchased in the capital. This wheat has been purchased from
1290 farmers in the district. District Food and Marketing Officer Nischal Anand informed that the
procurement process will continue till June 15.
He said that due to the shortage of wheat, farmers can go directly to the purchase center and they
can sell their crop without any token. All purchasing center in-charge have been instructed to ensure
100% adherence to social distancing as well as to clean hands from sanitizer to soap. Apart from this,
arrangements have also been made for chairs to sit, clean water for drinking at all centers.

The number of GI craft products of Purvanchal has increased to 13 with Gorakhpur Terracotta. Uttar
Pradesh now has a total of 26 GI products. These contain 14 ODOP products.
Banaras Sarees, Wooden Toys made in Banaras, Metal Craft, Pink Meenakari, Glass Beads, Bhadohi's
Carpet, Dari, Chandauli, Meerjapur and Banaras Soft Stone Fake Work, Wall Hanging of Ghazipur,
Black Pottery of Azamgarh, Kalanamak Rice, Chunar sandstone and stone crafts have already
received GI status.
Lifetime imprisonment if you intentionally infect someone
In the UP Public Health and Epidemic Disease Control Ordinance, the government has made
stringent legal provisions to prevent corona infection.
Under the Act, if a person intentionally infects someone with the disease and that person dies, then
he can be imprisoned for 2 to 5 years and a fine ranging from 50 thousand to 2 lakh. And can be
punishable for life imprisonment.
State epidemic control authority to be formed
Under the UP Public Health and Epidemic Disease Control Ordinance, there will be a State Epidemic
Control Authority headed by CM Yogi, consisting of the Chief Secretary, DGP, Principal Secretary of
Home, Health, Finance, Relief Commissioner and Director General Medical Members.
The District Epidemic Control Authority will be created for compliance and monitoring of the
ordinance rules. It will be headed by the District Magistrate. The district authority will also include SP
and CMO.
