In teamwork, the dual objective means that
every group has two parallel goals
The task goal–
WHAT the group aims
to achieve or produce
(a plan, report, idea,
or solution).
The process goal–
HOW the group
works together
(communication, trust,
participation, learning).
Image: OpenClipart-Vectors, pixabay.com
It is the group leader's task is
to take care of the two goals.

Tuckman’s stages of group development
1.Forming: The group comes together, members get to know each other,
goals are clarified.
2.Storming: Differences emerge, roles and opinions may clash,
the group learns to handle conflict.
3.Norming: The group agrees on rules, roles, and ways of working;
trust begins to form.
4.Performing: The team functions
effectively toward its goals;
collaboration and creativity peak.
5.Adjourning: The task is completed,
the group reflects, evaluates, and dissolves.
At what stage do
you need support?
How could AI help?

Write promps or create chatbots
Copilot has Agents
and
ChatGPT has GPT’s.
Explore what ready
made chatbots have
to offer or create
your own.

Integrating AI into your teams workflow
Keep the spark of creativity alive within yourselves!
Invite AI to
give feedback,
supplement your
ideas or expand
what you created.
Ensure that
everyone has the
basic understanding
on AI.
Startwith human
creativity:
brainstorm ideas or
have the team write
at least a draft first.
You can continue
with collaborative
editing with AI
if you like.

AI responce comparison 1/2
1.Ask the participants a question through conversation, small groups,
Padlet, word cloud, etc.
2.Ask Copilot/ChatGPT the same question.
Which are the most
popular roles
we give to AI?
How could AI
motivate us?
What should
every adult
know about AI?

AI responce comparison 2/2
3. Look at the AI's answerstogetherand make follow-up questions.
•What differences are there compared to the groupsanswers?
•Evaluate critically: Is the AI's answer true, biased, distorted, generic, etc.?
•Whatyoucouldlearn from AI? Did you get a new perspective?
•Ask AI for an analysis or justified criticism of your answers.
•Did using AI increase your understanding of the subject or AI?

Analyse the AI's response
ChatGPT wrote:
•Is it true? Do you agree? What is missing from this answer?
•What did you learn? Ask forexamples or opposite view.
•How would the answer change if you used a different kind of prompt?
•What does this mean in your work context?

Different roles of AI
Answer briefly. Only one role per answer. You can answer as many
times as you like: answergarden.ch/5066790 or QR code.

Creating word clouds
answergarden.ch (free tool, no signing in)

1.Choose +.
2.Add topic and choose 20 or 40 character for answers.
3.Create.
4.Share the link for others.

Answergarden: Get the answers
Copy the answers from the bottom of the page.
→Export. →Get the answers.
Prompt suggestionsfor ChatGPT/Copilot.
•I asked [the group] which roles they would give to AI.
Categorize the answers, they are in this order of preference: "..."
•You categorized the answers into five themes.
What other themes you could have?
•Why do you think [role] was most popular?
•What roles are missing from the list?
•What will be the most important role in the context of
[our work] inthecoming1-3 years?

Using AI with web tools for collaboration
Ask the group for metaphors, concepts, perspectives,
opinions, diverse viewpoints, lists,ideas,..
Use discussion or web tools like Answergarden,
Padlet or shared document.
Copy the answers to the AI:
•Summarize and/or categorize the answers.
•Create slideshow of the categoriesto enhance discussion.
•Get suggestion for each category for further discussion.
•Generate three thought-provoking discussion questions.
•Ask forfollow-upquestions.

Thinking “out of the box” with AI
Ideas co-created with ChatGPT
•Use AI to suggest alternative solutions to the problem.
•Use different “AI personas” tobroaden perspectives.
•AI can simulate feedback from different stakeholders.
•Each member asks AI a slightly different version of the
same question. →Compare results.
•Encourage participants to broaden their thinking with AI.
–Give us three unexpected ways to look at this issue.
–Imagine we solve this problem as if we were NASA /
a theatre troupe / a kindergarten.
–What would be the opposite solution —and what can
we learn from it?

Agree or disagree
1.Mark a line in the middle of the room.
2.Read AI-generated statements about the theme of
the meeting or training, like ”AI can be creative”.
3.Participants move to the other side ifthey agree
or the other if they disagree.
4.Ask for justifications from both sides.
5.Let participants switch sides if the arguments
are convincing.

Using AI generated images in teamwork
•Learning to write prompts.
•Use images as a discussion starter or
get to know activity.
•Create an image that captures your mood.
•Illustrate your visions/challenges/hopes.
•Show what you're excited about.
•Invite AI to re-imagine your team’s ideas
from new angles.
•Capture your memories or key moments.
•Use images as a reflection.

Visions of the future
1.Introduce the theme of your meeting/training.
TIP: If you discuss on the future and megatrends, check out:
www.sitra.fi/en/digital-megatrendcards
2.Ask each small group to choose one
perspective and share their thoughts.
E.g.Future of AI [where and when].
3.Ask groups to generate an image, infographic
or comic strip as a summary of their discussion.
4.Groups share their images and main ideas.
Ask for reflection on both the theme and
the use of AI.

Reflection questions for individuals/teams
Ideas co-created with ChatGPT
When considering using AI
•What part of teamwork would you like AI to assist?
•If AI would be your team member what role and style would it have?
•How could AI help you to think differently, not just to produce results?
•What’s one human strength your team should always keep —even when AI is assisting?
•What risks or ethical issues should your team keep an eye on when using AI?
•What’s one team task you’d like to try AI with -and what’s the first and safe step to get started?
Will you use prompts or chatbots (agents/GPT’s)?
After tryingoutAIinteamwork
•What insights did you gain from the collaborative process?
•What did you learn about AI,itsrestrictions and possibilities?
•How will you share what you learned from using AI in teamwork?
