UTERINE CANCER INTRODUCTION - The uterus is hollow muscular, pear- shaped organ flattened anteroposteriorly . It lies in the pelvic cavity between the urinary bladder and the rectum. In most women it leans forwards (ante version) and is bent forwards (ante flexion) almost at right angles to the vagina so that its anterior wall rests partly against the bladder below forming the vesicouterine pouch between the two organs.

JOHN ” “ U terine cancer or cancer of uterus is a condition that begins when healthy uterine cells undergo mutation and start growing abnormally forming a cancerous or benign tumor. ” “ ACCORDING TO JANICE L.HINKLE ” “ Uterine cancer also known as endometrial cancer and it involves a malignant growth the originates in the lining of uterus the endometrium . ”

It lies in the pelvic cavity between the urinary bladder and the rectum. “ANATONY & PHYSIOLOGY ” UTERUS :- Uterus is a pear – shaped organ that plays a critical role in menstruation, fertility and pregnancy its hollow and muscular and sits between your rectum and bladder in your pelvis. FUNCTION :- The uterus receives a fertilized egg and protects the fetus (baby) while it grows and develops. The uterus contracts to pus the baby out of the body during birth.

STAGING STAGE 1 :- In this stage cancer has not spread to any other body organ except uterus. STAGE 2 :- In this stage cancer has spread to the cervix. STAGE 3 :- In this stage cancer has spread to the vagina, ovary and lymph nodes. STAGE 4:- In this stage cancer has progressed to the bladder or other organ that are for from the uterus.

DIETARY MANAGEMENT Incorporate a variety of fruits, vegetables whole gains healthy oils and lean protein. Eat smaller amounts of food more frequently to sustain energy and manage a poor appetite. Try ginger for a natural way to prevent or reduce nausea . Eat yogurt and food with high fiber to help support digestion. Low amount of meat and dairy products.

DIETARY MANAGEMENT

PREVENTION PHYSICAL ACITIVITY :- Highly physically active women head 20% lower risk of endometrial cancer than women with low levels of activity. WEIGHT LOSS :- L osing weight without trying to is another possible sing of uterine cancer . HORMONAL CONTRACEPTIVE :- Women who have ever used oral contraceptive have a lower risk of endometrial cancer than women who have never used oral contraceptives. Low -Sugar diets can reduce the risk of uterine cancer. Food rich in beta -Carotene foliate fiber vitamins C, K and E diet like broccoli.

HEALTH EDUCATION Avoid consuming any alcoh0l or smoking. Exercise can lower your risk of uterine cancer and help you maintain a healthy weight. If uterine cancer runs in your family, schedule routine checks. Consume a balanced diet rich in fresh produce whole grains and other phytonutrients . Women report any abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge to the doctor.

CONCLUSIONS Uterine cancer is the most common form of cancer that occurs in the uterus of women due to abnormal cell growth. This is caused by the uncontrolled genetic mutation. Significantly there are two types of uterine cancer endometrial cancer and uterine sarcomas.
