Verb: A word that shows action, state or position.
 I am playing. (Action)
 He is sleeping. (State)
 They are students. (Position)
Types of verb: Mainly three types.
Main Verb, Helping verb and Linking verb.
Main Verb: A verb that shows action of a subject.
 He is walking.
 They are eating.
Helping Verb: A verb that is used before main verb to convey additional
information regarding aspects of possibility or time.
 I am playing.
 We will watch the movie.
 They were eating.
Linking Verb: A verb that connects a subject with predicate. (Subject
complement)

 She appears upset.
 The eggs smell rotten.
 I felt sleepy.
 He is ready.
 The soup smells delicious.
 Your proposal sounds good to me.
