This project is about helping public university students to buy coupon through an online based platform or website. The website provides necessary tools to buy, book, cancel coupon in between rules. This web based application also updates the user time to time about the deadlines or changed coupon prices during special national occasion such as feast. The steps can be summarized as- Firstly, understand the main objectives of the project, understand the requirements and make documentation for the ease of implementation to preview the outcomes. In this report we have shown the progress of our project with a full-fledged documentation and output of the work we have done so far.

3. MOTIVATION As we’re students of a residential public university, we have to rely on the hall dining for our everyday meals. Which is why we have the first-hand experience of how inconvenient the coupon collection system is. So, our motivation to work on this project was to making this system student friendly and convenient. This project seemed to be the perfect opportunity to implement an online based coupon management system that will resolve our problems regarding coupons and provide us with an easier and more efficient way to purchase coupons.

REQUIREMENTS Super users as admins can have special functionalities Students only can purchase from the website Students should have an account to be able to use the website with valid information Students can buy or book coupon before a deadline as many as they want. Menu is view only for students Admins can only change the menu Prices may vary during national occasions Admin can only change price Online purchase of coupon will provide a soft copy of coupon via email Coupon number should be unique for each student Each time a student purchases coupon the database is updated

10. DESIGN SPECIFICATION Front End Design The front end is a combination of two different elements: the graphic design(the look) and the user interface( the feel). Each of these Is created independently, with most of the technical work going into the user interface using web languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Back End Design The backend, also called server-side, is the infrastructure that supports the front end and is made up of parts of a piece of software regular user can’t see. The backend is basically a website’s brain. The backend includes the server that provides data whenever requested, the database where the data is organized, and the application that delivers that information. To turn a new website into dynamic web application we will need to add more backend components. This is different from a static website, where the content often remains the same and doesn’t need a database. Whenever a new profile is created it updates the database.
