WHAT IS A THRIFT STORE??..

Thrift store is a part of the army salvation that contributes to provide support and hope around 131 countries across the world by selling the donated material at cheaper price to the vulnerable people. The salvation army is a Christian organisation that gives hope and support to the people in 400 communities across world. The salvation army exists to share the love of humanity and meet human needs and becomes a transforming influence in the communities of our world

HOW DOES A THRIFT STORE WORK??..

Thrift store accepts donated items such as clothes, shoes, furniture, sport items, household items and sell them at cheap price.

Work Environment and Steps followed by store to achieve objectives Steps 1 They have 45 containers of large size which are labelled according to the donation items. Steps 2 2 or 3 workers at filter the items. They empty the containers containing items and take out good quality items and separate them from torn, dirty or items in bad condition and collect them.

Step 3 3-4 workers check for stained or torn clothes and if they found then immediately separate them and store in another container Step 4 Good Quality clothes are placed on hangers

THEY KEEP EVERYTHING DONATED THEY MAKE EVERY DONATION COUNT SOMETIMES THEY FIND REALLY EXPENSIVE ITEMS

Remaining material of no use goes to garbage truck Many a times this garbage truck have things too like suitcases, show cases, furniture, households, which are filtered and sent for recycling.
