Lomographyis a pretty recent type of
photography. The founders first experimented
with LomoLC-A, a cheap Russian toy camera.

1. Take your camera everywhere you go.
2. Use it any time –day and night.
3. Lomographyis not an interference in your life, but a part of it.
4. Try to shoot from the hip.
5. Approach the objects of your Lomographicdesire as close as possible.
6. Don’t think.
7. Be fast.
8. You don’t have to know beforehand what you captured on film.
9. Afterwards either.
10. Don’t worry about any rules!

Ironically, the disadvantages of lomography
can be usedas an advantage, and vice versa.

7. Light Leaks
Somelomographerslovetheirlightleaks,while
somedespisethem.Theycantransformmundane
photosintootherworldlycaptures.
But then again,they
can also ruin the photo.

Thisiswhatmakeslomographysofunand
sofrustrating.Lomocamerasarehighly
unpredictable–likeithasalifeofitsown.

photosare‘happyaccidents’.

1. Choose your weapon
Differentcamerashavedifferentuses,featuresand
effects.Forexample,theFisheyetakesa170-degree
viewaroundyou,creatinganalmostcircularimageand
Colorsplashhassomereallycolorfulflashes.
Do your research and determine the
type of photos you want to achieve.

of film.Buycheap rolls of film first to use as your test
roll. 400 isofilm is great for most conditions.
