How to Install Windows 11 (Fresh Installation) Step-by-Step Guide

Introduction This guide will walk you through the process of performing a clean installation of Windows 11. You'll learn how to prepare your system, create installation media, and install Windows 11 from scratch.

Minimum System Requirements • Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor , must support SSE4.2 • RAM: 4 GB or more • Storage: 64 GB or larger • System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable • TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 • Graphics: DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x • Internet connection: Required for setup and updates

Step 1: Back Up Your Data Before performing a fresh installation, make sure to back up all your important data. You can use: • OneDrive or other cloud storage • External hard drives or USB drives • Network drives or NAS devices

Step 2: Create Installation Media 1. Go to Microsoft's official website. 2. Download the Windows 11 Installation Media Tool. 3. Run the tool and select 'Create installation media for another PC.' 4. Choose the edition, language, and architecture (64-bit). 5. Select 'USB flash drive' and follow the prompts.

Step 3: Boot from USB Drive 1. Insert the USB drive into your computer. 2. Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. 3. Set the USB drive as the primary boot device. 4. Save changes and restart the system. The Windows Setup screen should now appear.

Step 4: Install Windows 11 1. Select your language, time, and keyboard preferences. 2. Click 'Install Now.' 3. Enter your product key or choose 'I don’t have a product key.' 4. Choose 'Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).' 5. Delete existing partitions if you want a truly fresh start. 6. Select unallocated space and click 'Next' to begin installation.

Step 5: Complete Setup Once installation finishes: • Follow the on-screen setup instructions. • Connect to Wi-Fi. • Sign in with your Microsoft account. • Adjust privacy settings. • Windows 11 will finalize your installation and boot into the desktop.

Post-Installation Tips • Check for updates: Settings → Windows Update. • Install device drivers if needed. • Restore your backed-up data. • Customize your desktop and system preferences.
