To begin, a window is transparent, allowing you to view outdoors. In addition it provides security from the elements, as it prevents rain snow, or wind from entering your home. It is a physical structure that can be opened or closed. In addition, it can be adorned with curtains to create a custom look to any room.

8. What is a Microsoft Window? How does a real window compare to the Windows operating system? The Windows operating system uses a rectangular shaped container to display the contents of the computer. Whenever an application or folder is opened it appears in frame called window. Similar to the transparent nature of a real window, the Microsoft window allows the computer directory to become visible. Likewise, the Microsoft window can be opened or closed. The appearance can also be customized to suit your preferences. To open a window you Double click on the Windows folder on the desktop.
