ABSRACT In this project we are controlling the speed of induction motor by using PID +FUZZY controller. The FLC is connected to the PID controller for enhancing performance of induction motor. The FLC is developed based on the output of the PID controller, and the output of the FLC is the torque command of the induction motor.

Zieglers-Nechols Method The most well known tuning methods are those developed by Ziegler and Nichols. They have had a major influence on the practice of PID control for more than half a century. The methods are based on characterization of process dynamics by a few parameters and simple equations for the controller parameters.

PID CONTROLLER “PID” is an acronym for “proportional, integral, and derivative.” A PID controller is a controller that includes elements with those three functions.
THE PROPOSED HYBRID PID PLUS FUZZY CONTROL: First, we use a fixed step input and a linear proportional speed controller. The proportional gain of the speed controller is increased until the DFOIM reaches its stability limit.
FUZZY CONTROLLER A fuzzy control system based on fuzzy logic-A mathematical system that analyzes analog input values in terms of logical variables that takes on continuous values between 0 to 1. Membership function is a curve that defines how each point in the input space is mapped to a membership values between 0 to 1.

ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES ADVANTAGES: It gives accurate values. Better control action. It gives hundred percent output result due no errors. DISADVANTAGES: It is not applicable for high speed motors.
CONCLUSION In this project a hybrid modified Z-N PID+FLC based speed control of a induction motor has been presented PID and FUZZY can improve the stability, transient response and load disturbance rejection of speed control of a induction motor
