Wolfram Mathematica Introduction Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine, a web site that computes information rather than finding it by search (it is like Google, but it presents you an answer instead of places to find the answer) . Purpose : Make computable knowledge accessible to everyone. It aims to collect all objective data , implement every known model, method, and algorithm and make it possible to compute whatever can be computed about anything.
History WolframAlpha was officially launched on May 18, 2009. It is the culmination of 5 years of work, and 26 more years of previous development. December 3, 2009, an iPhone app was introduced. October 6, 2010 an Android version of the app was released. It is now available for Kindle Fire and Nook. Also 71 apps are available which use the Wolfram Alpha engine for specialized tasks.
