YELLOW The word "yellow" comes from the Old English geolu , geolwe , meaning "yellow, yellowish", derived from the Proto-Germanic word gelwaz "yellow ". Yellow is a color which cries out for attention. It’s the color of happiness, glory, wisdom, harmony, culture, creativity , sunshine and spring . In the natural world, yellow is the color of sunflowers and daffodils, egg yolks and lemons, canaries and bees.
