HELLO! I am GARREN JUDE I am here discuss 2

YOUTH OF TODAY AND SPIRITUAL SELF

How are you, yourself today? 4

How about your spiritual self? 5

Our young generation of today has both good qualities and some deficiencies in them. This generation has a series of understandings and emotions that the previous generations did not possess and therefore, we must always give them the benefit of the doubt. 6 Youth of today

At the same time, they also have some corrupt thoughts and negative ethical traits which must be removed from their character. It is not possible to remove these traits from them without keeping in mind and respecting the good qualities that the youth possess – meaning their understandings, emotions and their other noble traits and qualities – thus, we must show respect to them in these regards. 7 Youth of today

Y OUR SPIRITUAL SELF 8

SPIRITUAL SELF The word "spiritual" refers to that core dimension of you - your innermost self - that provides you with a profound sense of who you are, where you came from, where you're going and how you might reach your goal. 9

SPIRITUAL SELF Your Spiritual Self is you in your most beautiful and powerful form. It is the authentic self, the unconditioned part, the you without patterns .

Spiritual Self It is one of the four constituents of the "self" according to William James in his book, THE PRINCIPLES OF PSYCHOLOGY IN 1890". The spiritual self is the most intimate, inner subjective part of self. It is the most intimate version of the self because of the satisfaction experienced when thinking of one's ability to argue and discriminate, of one's moral sensibility and conscience, and of our unconquerable will (James 1890) is purer than all other sentiments of satisfaction. (Green 1997)

Spiritual Self The ability to use moral sensibility and conscience may be seen through the expressions of religion, its beliefs and practices. In the same manner, cultural rituals and ceremonies are some manifestations what people believe in. Moreover, seeking the meaning of life is a journey that the spiritual self is on.

This is personal for each of us, so no need to get caught up on the language. Some may identify with Higher Self, The Universe, God, Higher Power, your inner Buddha, your true being… It’s the part of you that is connected to everything, the part that is love. SPIRITUAL SELF 13

SPIRITUAL SELF If your Intellect gets in the way of accessing your Spiritual Self, simply recall a moment in time, when you were peaceful and content. This may be associated with nature, love, creativity, or anything else which induced a sense of serenity. In your mind’s eye, notice how you look; your facial expression, your posture, your eyes… and you can immediately reconnect to yourself in your most beautiful form . 14

15 The feeling you experience when you access your Spiritual Self is important. Make it a habit to strengthen this aspect of your every quadrant, so that it adopts a leading function in your life .

health improving spiritual 18

So ho can you improve your spiritual health? An article in the October 1992 Balance magazine lists five strategies to grow spiritually . 19

1) Be quiet. Spiritual truths often come in the form of a still small voice that is difficult to hear above the chaos and confusion of a frantic lifestyle. Set aside time for solitude and meditation.

2) Be open to the spiritual. Spiritual experiences often come in unexpected forms and packages. They surprise us. Foster a nonjudgmental attitude so you're open to the spiritual dimension in any life event - from hoeing the garden, to witnessing an accident, from watching a swim meet to reading the morning paper.

3) Be inquisitive and curious. An attitude of active searching increases your options and your potential for spiritual centering. Don't shut doors before you check out what is behind them. For example, the laying on of hands may be a powerful centering experience. A silent retreat might renew your enthusiasm. Meditation or yoga may very well allow you to experience tranquility and peace.

4) Be receptive to pain and grief. Pain helps us focus on the widest questions of our being. It's a deepener. A life without pain leads to a sparse, shallow existence. Allow yourself to feel your pain fully, then ask, "What is it trying to teach me?"

5) Be playful. Play is a pleasurable, freeing experience. It breeds spontaneous enthusiasm and celebration. When you make music, dance, laugh, sing - however you play - listen for sounds of the spirit.

Connect with others. Stay positive. Get physically active. Help others. Get enough sleep. Create joy and satisfaction. Eat well . TAKING GOOD CARE OF YOUR SPIRITUAL SELF

26 SPIRIT CHECK

IMPORTANCE 27 Spiritual individuals strive toward a better life and consider personal growth and fulfillment a central goal. Spirituality can be considered to be a path toward self-actualization, because it requires people to focus on their internal values and work on becoming a better individual.
