•Green Finance Mainstreaming System(with Bank of Zambia) in
progress

SUB-NATIONAL LEVEL -INTEGRATION OF CDF INTO NAP PROGRAMS
•CDF as a Decentralized Funding Mechanism
•Supports local governments in implementing development programs (LDP)
•Acts as a compensation mechanismsince central government controls key revenue-
generating activities of local authorities
•Aligning CDF with NAP Objectives:
•Under way-Constituencies can use CDF to fund climate adaptation projects
•Ensures community-driven climate resilience efforts
•Key Strategies for Integration:
•Policy Alignment–Ensure CDF guidelines explicitly allow climate-related projects
•Capacity Building–Train local authorities to design and manage climate adaptation
programs
•Monitoring & Evaluation–Implement robust tracking mechanisms for transparency
•Expected Outcome:
•Strengthens local climate adaptation efforts while maintaining national coordination
