2. A man lives alone in his apartment. For years, he has shared his days only with himself, with silence, and with shadows. His home is filled with empty bottles and piles of trash gathering in the corners. The air is thick with the smell of alcohol and dust. The only familiar sound is the clinking of ice in his glass. One day, he hears the sound of furniture moving in the hallway. He looks through the peephole — a young woman is unlocking the door of the apartment across from his. A new neighbor. In that moment, something stirs inside him — as if, after years of darkness, a bit of color has seeped into his home. From that day on, every night he stands behind the peephole, waiting. Waiting for her to come or go, or even just to see the light turn on in her room. Seeing her — even silently, from behind a door — becomes his only reason to keep living. Now, he leaves the apartment for small excuses — to the laundry room, the elevator, or the hallway — just to catch a glimpse of her. Each time he sees her, a wave of feeling and imagination awakens within him. So much so that at night he sits at his desk again and begins to compose music, like he used to long ago. But one night, he decides not to look only through the peephole anymore. He walks to her door — hesitant, anxious — and finally knocks. A few moments later, the door opens. The girl stands before him — tired, disheveled, in a messy room much like his own. For a brief moment, they just look at each other, in a silence that says everything. He gives a faint smile and softly says: “Hi.”

4. The External World (The Man’s Reality) Overall Mood: Lifeless existence, time frozen, metallic silence. Color Palette: Cold, neutral, and muted tones — a mix of bluish-gray, dirty green, dead white, and dark silver. Lighting: Cold fluorescent lights, dim daylight from half-open windows, or gray reflections off damp walls. Shadows: Soft and diffused; light is never direct. Everything seems to be seen through a layer of mist. Texture: Slightly grainy and low-contrast image to reinforce a sense of weariness and repetition. Visual Style: Mental collage — colors appear as light leaks, torn textures, overlapping frames, or analog-style effects. These colors are not real; they emerge from within the man. They appear only when he feels, imagines, or thinks of the girl. The camera movement becomes softer and more alive, as if the film itself begins to breathe differently. Through double exposure or split composition, the contrast between the two worlds can be visualized: his body remains in the cold reality, while his mind is immersed in color.

With each encounter with the girl, a faint warmth begins to seep into the frame: the reflection of yellow light on the elevator’s metal surface, or a weak orange glow cast on the man’s skin. In his mental moments, the same space suddenly breaks away from the cold — colors burst forth, the environment turns into a collage, as if the man has momentarily escaped the real world WITH THIS STYLE WE UNDRSTSND THIS FEELINGS DOSE’NT BELONG TO THIS COLD WORLD.
