Summary A 54-year-old man was evaluated at the hospital after cardiac arrest associated with ventricular fibrillation. The patient had been in a fast-food restaurant when he gasped suddenly and lost consciousness. Emergency medical services personnel arrived, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated.

No history of chest pain , dyspnea , or symptoms of heart failure Poor diet , severeal packages of candy daily 3 weeks earlier , switch the type of candy Previous heroin use and untreated hepatitis C No alkohol 1 pack of cigarettes daily for 36 years No opiates the last 3 years No family history of cardiac , respiratory , renal, neurologic or endcrine disease
