called the Horizon
One -point perspective only

SOMEpupils will independently be able to draw a cube, cross and lettering in one

4. TASK: Draw a cube in one-point perspective.

1. Draw a line across
the middle of your page
-this will be your
horizon
2. In the centre put a
small dot or cross to
show the vanishing
point
3. Draw the front view
of a cube
4. From each corner
take a light line to the
vanishing point.
5. Decide on the depth
of your cube then draw
horizontal and vertical
parallel lines
6. Add thick and thin
lines and rub out your
unwanted construction
lines.

Two-point perspective shows
objects edge-on.
It uses two vanishing points
NOT one!
WHY USE IT?
It gives a more realistic viewof an
object or product.

draw in the outlines

The point or points at which all lines in a perspective drawing meet

One-point only has one vanishing point.
Two-point is more realistic and has two vanishing points.
