Republic Act 9344 Amended by RA 10630 defines the Juvenile Justice and Welfare System as a system dealing with children at risk and children in conflict with the law , A system which provides child-appropriate proceedings , including programmes and services for prevention , diversion , rehabilitation , re-integration, and aftercare to ensure their normal growth and development. “Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act” (JJWA)
Republic Act 9344 Amended by RA 10630 “ Child in Conflict with the Law ” or CICL refers to a child who is alleged as , accused of , or adjudged as , having committed an offence under Philippine laws. “ Child at Risk ” or CAR refers to a child who is vulnerable to and at the risk of committing criminal offences because of personal, family and social circumstances.

A Manual on the Formulation of CBJIP was developed in 2020. The Manual has been rolled-out/tested in 10 Barangays. A set of PowerPoint presentations for each sessions in the Manual has been prepared in support of the workshops in the formulation of CBJIP Some RJJWC and LGU personnel/staff have been trained in facilitating the formulation of CBJIP. The Manual is now being used nationwide by Barangays with support from LGUs, RJJWC, and Regional DILG. In this workshop, you will formulate your own CBJIP using the said manual. Context
