Radiograph of the Upper Limb By CHUKWU CHIDERA PRISCILLA ( CEEDRAAH ) ' 2 1 CLASS .
Introduction ; Its important to read through carefully , as this will be asked in your exams . It will also form the foundation for your journey as a medical doctor . We will begin with the Shoulder and go all the way down to the hands .
So in the previous slide , there's a picture of an X-ray of the Shoulder joint . You can be asked questions like ; What view is this X-ray / Radiograph ? Identify the marked structure ( s ) ? Identify the radiograph ? * its important to note the labelling as any of them could be T h e marked structure answers .
The way the letters are written on a Radiograph gives a clue to its positioning . For example ; LT means its a left arm . You would also see the LT placed at the top left corner . Then you can identify the Radiograph . E . g ; an Anterior- Posterior view Radiograph of the left Arm .
If you look at the previous slide , you'll find the labellings are the same there also .
Note that you can be asked questions on if the Radiograph is that of a child or an adult . A child's Radiograph still shows epiphyseal plates , but an adults Radiograph doesn't show epiphyseal plates .
Note the positioning on the previous Slide . Identify and point out the view . Label the parts you can see .
So in the previous slide there's a dislocated elbow joint , but its very unlikely they would ask that . Just n o te how it looks like . Also note the positioning and identify on your own . Try to label it youselves too . The next slides' caption goes " I believe in Me " Don't stop believing in yourself . You can ace this exams . Success on your Steeple Chase . Thank you .
