2. Concept of home visit The home visit is an important and essential step for providing health services to the persons of community. For doing home visit, the community health nurse ,other health workers should have technique ,skills and knowledge of preventive and therapeutic measures ,having good communication skills teaching abilities judgement and full understanding related to human relations .

3. Goals of home visiting To provide health services to family for their wellness

4. Principles of home visiting CHN should collect prior information about geographical area and family. CHN should not make any personal relationship with family. Professionalism should be maintained at any cost. CHN should not use any personal information of family for personal benefit. Maintain confidentiality of family.

5. CHN should not receive any gift items from family members. Visit should be carried out according to plan but it should be flexible change according to family or patient. CHN should provide health services according to priority need of family. Recording And reporting should be done for each home visit. Re-visiting should be scheduled according to the needs and therapeutic measures that is to be given to family.

6. Purposes of home visiting To provide health services to the family on their doorstep To know the health need of family and individual in relation to health ,social economic and cultural aspect. To Provide various service is to the family according to the needs like family planning, immunization and other services .

7. To provide health education about the prevention and control of diseases . To provide home visit services to antenatal and postnatal mother To provide new-born services at home. To provide health services to sick people of family or with minor ailments

9. Introductory phase In this phase community health nurse can get an idea about the geographical area plan for her visit, getting information about peoples, families from different sources. She should clarify about the purpose of visit to family . Pre visit planning :- Having prior information about family Graphical area Home / location / address / family members Family cultural value

10. Activity phase Begin to maintain good relationship with family Maintain good IPR with all members of family. Assessment of each and every member of family Assessment of home environment . Prioritise the needs of family. Plan home education and other thing according to needs of family. Provide health services through health education and other therapeutic procedures Provide health services through collaboration, coordination, preventive, promoting and health method education.

12. Techniques of home visiting First building rapport : Establishing trust and positive relationship with the individuals to create a safe and supportive environment for communication. Goal settings : Collaboratively setting goals with individuals or family to work during home visiting sessions. Goal should be parenting ,education ,assessments .

Need assessment Conducting initial assessments to identify specific needs and challenges of individuals of family being visited Educational and skill building Individuals and family with knowledge information and resources to enhance their skills and abilities in areas such as parenting help promotion and household management Problem solving and supportive counselling Assisting individuals and family in identifying and addressing challenges or concern they may be facing. 18. BAG TECHNIQUE The bag technique is a procedure / technique in which a nurse knows about the effective utilization of community bag for performing the procedure with care during home visiting.

19. PRINCIPLES OF BAG TECHNIQUE It should be need based health visit. Bag technique performing with decrease chances of cross contamination. Bag technique performing saves time and efforts. Bag technique performance makes it easy to provide procedure during home visit. Bag technique should show the effectiveness of health facilities provided to family.

20. The bag should be kept in clean area without danger of being contaminated by children and domestic animals. Clean and boil the articles after using and replace it safely. Avoid any unnecessary exposure while doing the procedure. Secure the bag by often cleaning and should be covered properly when it is not in use.
