The framework posits that boosting local government performance is a process of strengthening inputs in order to bring about the necessary outputs and outcomes ( governance results ). It also assumes that through upholding governance principles and exercising supervisory authority , LGUs will be able to strengthen their capacities, and ultimately, exemplify the necessary performance outputs and outcomes.
