Nutrition Month is an annual campaign held every July to raise
awareness among Filipinos about the significance of nutrition, as
stipulated in the Nutrition Act of the Philippines (P.D. 491). The
National Nutrition Council (NNC) is tasked to lead and organize the
nationwide campaign.
What is Nutrition Month?

The 50 Nutrition Month is guided by the theme “Sa PPAN: Sama-Sama Para sa
Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat!” (Through PPAN, let’s collaborate on nutrition
security for all!).
The selection of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition as the focus for
Nutrition Month is a strategic decision to feature the multisectoral approach to
improving malnutrition as well as increasing awareness of this framework. With
the PPAN as the highlight of the campaign, the importance of collective action
and commitment towards achieving a healthier and nutritionally secure
country will be given greater emphasis.
What is the theme of 2024 Nutrition Month?

The Nutrition Month campaign aims to increase awareness on
nutrition. Specifically for 2024, the objectives are to generate
participation and commitments for increased support for the PPAN
among stakeholders from government, local government units, non-
government organizations, business, civil society, and communities.
What are the objectives of 2024 Nutrition Month?

Specifically, the campaign aims to:
Provide the platform to discuss the PPAN and encourage increased support
of stakeholders in the PPAN to address the triple burden of malnutrition and
food insecurity;

Mobilize stakeholders to hold promotional activities to raise awareness on
nutritional problems and interventions to address these under the PPAN; and
2.
Encourage the public to start adopting positive nutrition behaviors.3.
