3. Dear Zontians:
It is our great pleasure and honor to invite our fellow Zontians from the districts in Asia (D17, 25, 26,
31 and 32) to participate in the 2nd Zonta Asian Inter-District Meeting, or AIDM, hosted by District 31 in
Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Republic of China, from April 14 to 16, 2023.
The 2nd AIDM theme is 「Together We Can〜Empowering Women Around The World 」. Zonta
International President Ute Scholz (2022–2024) will address us as a keynote speaker. Advocates from
like-minded organizations and Zontian leaders will share their knowledge and experiences at forums
and workshops regarding women's issues and the mission and vision of Zonta. We will work together
and continue Zonta's mission to build a better world for women and girls.
The meeting venue is in Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan, a beautiful modern metropolis
with mountains, rivers, and harbors. Its diverse culture attracts tourists from all over the world. The
opening ceremony, forums and accommodations will be arranged at the Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel, a
comprehensive hotel with exemplary meeting facilities, variety of restaurants and shopping malls.
This is a great opportunity to mingle with Zontians from Asia, learn from each other and foster the
mutual friendship through various activities and events.
