 A conjunction is a word that joins other
words, phrases (groups of words), or clauses
(groups of words with a subject and verb).
 Ayesha and Asifa are good friends.

Types of Conjunction
1. co-ordinate conjunctions
1.The co-ordinate conjunctions: Co-ordinate
conjunctions join words, phrases, or
clauses of equal rank. They are the
following: and, but, or, nor, for, and yet.
(For and yet can only join clauses.)
Birds fly and fish swim.

2. Correlative conjunction
2.correlative conjunctions are always in pairs.
They are either-or, neither-nor, both-and,
not only-but also, and whether-or.
Either take it or leave it.
It is neither useful nor ornamental.
We both love and honour him.

3.Subordinate Conjunction
A subordinating Conjunction joins a clause to
another on which it depends for its full
meaning.
After, because, if, that, though, although, till,
before, unless, as, when, where, while
He ran away because he was afraid.
You will pass if you work hard.
Wait till I return.
