Communication

Process of C o m m u n i c a t i o n Communications is a continuous process that mainly involves three e l e m e n ts v i z . s e n d e r, m ess a g e, and receiver. The elements involved in the communication process are e x p l a i n ed i n d e t a i l:

The sender or the communicator generates the message and conveys it to the receiver. He is the source and the one who starts the communication.

It is the idea, information, view, fact, feeling, etc. that is generated by the sender and is then i n tended to be communicated further.

The message generated by the sender is encoded symbolically such as in the form of words, pictures, gestures, etc. before it is being conveyed.

Decoding It is the process of converting the symbols e nc o d ed b y t h e s e n d e r . A f t er decoding the message is r e cei v ed b y t h e r e cei v e r .

N oise It refers to any obstruction that is caused by the sender, message or receiver during the process of communication. For example, bad t e l e p ho n e encoding, con n e c t i o n , faulty f aulty d e c o di n g , inattentive receiver, p oor un d e r s t and i n g o f m ess a g e due t o inappropriate p r e j ud i ce or g estu r e s , e t c .
