Proper Ways of Using Garden Tools Tools are means to successful gardening. Proper maintenance should be observed so that they remain in good condition and one can use them longer. Here are some ways on how to take care of the tools used in gardening: After using, clean or wash the tools before keeping. Provide a place for the tools. Sharp-edged tools should be placed in a cabinet to prevent anyone from getting hurt.

Preparing the Soil for Planting In preparing the plot, follow these steps: Prepare the plot using a tape measure, meter stick, or full steel tape, and then measure the rectangular plot or plots in uniform sizes. Mark the corners by using short sticks. Connect the sticks using a thick thread or thin cord around the perimeter of each rectangular plot. Dig the soil around the plot and raise it to about 6cm so that it becomes elevated.
