Quote 1 “Doubt can only be removed by action.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe The main reason why the brain creates doubt is because you are not taking action. Even though your plan might be good, the brain still creates doubts when you are not taking action. When you do not take action, the brain thinks that what you are planning to do is wrong, so it will creates doubts. In this case, the more action you take, the fewer doubts you are going to have.
Quote 2 “ Courage is doing what you’re afraid to do . There can be no courage unless you’re scared.” Edward Vernon Rickenbacker In life, in order to become smarter, you have to learn something different or difficult and then overcome it. It does not matter if you do the same thing over and over again, you will not become any smarter. In this case, in order to increase your courage, you have to overcome something that you have never done before, and it is usually something that you are afraid to fail. The more you take action in what you are fearful of, the higher your courage level will be.
Quote 3 “ When you’re about to quit, remember why you started .” Fitness Motivator As a human being, you would not started on something unless you did not have a good reason for it. In this case, whenever you encountered obstacles or get frustrated on your way to achieve your goal, and the thought of quitting manifests, then just focus back to the reasons on why you started in the first place. It does not matter what you want to achieve in life, there will always be obstacles, which will influence you to want to quit. As a human being, your brain does not like to encountered obstacles because they create stress. In order to get out of the stress, the brain will influence you to quit. So whenever you have the urge to quit, it is only because the brain is stressing out, not because what you are doing is wrong or not working. When that happens, just focus back to the reason(s) why you started in the first place to help you get back on track.
Quote 4 “ You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.” Eleanor Roosevelt Whenever you encountered something new, both of your fear and success emotions will develop. However, as a human being, you tend to focus more on the negative, which is your fear, and then you allow it to influence you to stop on moving forward. However, every time you do not allow your fear to take over you and keep on moving forward, you will gain strength, courage, and confidence, which will make it easier for you to go after difficult goals.
Quote 5 “ Life challenges are not supposed to paralyze you , they’re suppose to help you discover who you are .” Bernice Johnson Reagon In life, as a human being, you have to experience both the positive and negative aspects of life. If not, you would not be able to full understand who you are as a person. If you only discover your positive qualities, then you are only learning half about yourself. When you encountered challenges and you had negative outcomes, they are only to show and help you understand who you are as a human being in order to make better decisions and move forward in life.
Action Steps 1. Write down your goals 2. For each goal, write down your reasons on why you want to accomplish it 3. Write down at least 3 positive outcomes if you are able to accomplish your goal 4. Create an action plan to help you get started on your goal 5. Write down what you would gain or learn if you are able to accomplish your goal
Action Steps 6. Take action right away 7. Whenever something negative comes up, focus back to your reasons and positive outcomes of your goal 8. Whenever you have a unique or different experience, write it down, and then use that experience to help you understand who you are as a person
