DEFINITION Sexual dysfunction is a problem with the sexual response cycle that interferes with the normal, satisfying sexual activity.

HUMAN SEXUAL RESPONSE CYCLE According to master and johnson , 4 phases Phase I: Excitement One attains intrinsic motivation to pursue sex Phase 2: Plateau Sets the stage for orgasm Phase 3: Orgasm the release of tension Phase 4: Resolution Unaroused state before the cycle begins again

CLASSIFICATION OF SEXUAL DISORDERS Desire disorders Lack of sexual desire or unintersted in sex Hypoactive sexual desire, low sexual drive, occurs at the excitement phase sexual aversion, anticipation of sexual interactions causes anxiety Arousal disorders Inability to become physically aroused during sexual activity, erectile dysfunction, difficulty to get aroused Orgasmic disorders Premature ejaculation, inability to have orgasm, hyper sexuality Sexual pain disorders Pain during intercourse Dyspareunia , post ejaculaory syndrome, priapism , coital cephalgia Non-coital sexual pain disorders
