Verse: 32 Long and Short term Benefits And present to them an example of two men: We granted to one of them two gardens of grapevines, and We bordered them with palm trees and placed between them [fields of] crops.
Verse: 33 Abundance of blesisngs Each of the two gardens produced its fruit and did not fall short thereof in anything. And We caused to gush forth within them a river.
Verse: 34 Taking pride in all blessings And he had fruit, so he said to his companion while he was conversing with him, "I am greater than you in wealth and mightier in [numbers of] men."
Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful. (An Nisa:36)
Ibn Qayyam narrated: Four ingredients of Kuffar(Denial) 1. Arrogance, 2. Jealousy 3. Anger (resentment) 4. Desires
بَطَرُ الْحَقِّ وَغَمْطُ النَّاسِ Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet ﷺ said, “ No one who has the weight of a seed of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise. ” Someone said, “But a man loves to have beautiful clothes and shoes.” The Prophet said, “ Verily, Allah is beautiful and he loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people. ” ( Ṣaḥīh ̣ Muslim 91)
لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever has a mustard seed's weight of pride (arrogance) in his heart, shall not be admitted into Paradise. And whoever has a mustard seed's weight of faith in his heart, shall not be admitted into the Fire.” (Jami` at- Tirmidhi 1998)
My Smartness
Verse: 35 Self Destructive Plan And he entered his garden while he was unjust to himself. He said, "I do not think that this will perish - ever.
Mental Distortion
Verse: 36 Shaky Belief Corruption of mind And I do not think the Hour will occur. And even if I should be brought back to my Lord, I will surely find better than this as a return."
Don’t be Short Sighted
Verse: 37 Reality of Human life His companion said to him while he was conversing with him, "Have you disbelieved in He who created you from dust and then from a sperm-drop and then proportioned you [as] a man?
Verse: 38 Appropriate communication: Authentic, Reality based, own stand. But as for me, He is Allah, my Lord, and I do not associate with my Lord anyone.
Verse: 39 Reliance on Allah And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah '? Although you see me less than you in wealth and children,
Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" Thereupon he ﷺ said, "(Recite) 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah ' (There is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah)." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله
Verse: 40 All hopes and wishes from Allah It may be that my Lord will give me [something] better than your garden and will send upon it a calamity from the sky, and it will become a smooth, dusty ground,
Verse: 41 Helplessness Or its water will become sunken [into the earth], so you would never be able to seek it."
Verse: 42 Result of heedlessness And his fruits were encompassed [by ruin], so he began to turn his hands about [in dismay] over what he had spent on it, while it had collapsed upon its trellises, and said, "Oh, I wish I had not associated with my Lord anyone."
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ said, “If Allah wills goodness for his servant, he hastens the punishment for him in this world. If Allah wills harm for his servant, he withholds punishment for his sins until he appears on the Day of Resurrection.” (At Tirmidhi:2396)
Verse: 43 No rescue team And there was for him no company to aid him other than Allah, nor could he defend himself.
Verse: 44 Right Investment There the authority is [completely] for Allah, the Truth. He is best in reward and best in outcome.
