He was born on 3 rd December, 1883 at Bahubani village of Midnapur district of Bengal. Khudiram Bose- An Adolescent Martyr

He was born to Trailokyanath Bose and Lakshmipriya Devi.

Britishers did not like the newspaper ‘ Vande Mataram ’ so they arrested Sir Aurobindo Ghosh and Bipin Chandra Pal. Later, Sir Aurobindo Ghosh and Bipin Chandra Pal were brought to the court. The judge was Kingston.

The revolutionaries wanted Kingston punished. The Britishers , fearing for Kingston’s life shifted him from Calcutta to Muzaffarpur .

Khudiram Bose and Prafulla Chaki moved to Muzaffarpur .

After a thorough analysis, they decided to throw the bomb at Kingston when he would come out of the club at night.

On 30th April, 1908 when they saw Kingston’s carriage coming out of the club, they threw the bomb at him and fled. Only later, Khudiram Bose came to know that Kingston had escaped the bomb but his wife and daughter died from it.

Khudiram Bose was arrested on Pusa Road Station after the attack when he was trying to escape.

When his death sentence was pronounced, Khudiram Bose actually smiled in the courtroom and told the judge that if he could be given more time, he would teach him the skill of making bombs.

He was hanged on 11 th August, 1908 at 6 a.m. Thus, Khudiram Bose became a Martyr of our freedom struggle.

Legends say that when Khudiram was hanged, he was still smiling. Not only did he immortalize himself, but he also inspired others by his sacrifice. Reading about such a hero evokes a feeling of pride, doesn’t it?
