by trained birth attendants
•Social pediatrics aims growth monitoring of
infants /children, nutritional surveillance, breast
feeding promotion, regular health check ups of
infants

MCH aims at reducing maternal and infant mortality
as well as morbidity
MALNUTRITION is common problem of both
mothers and children – addressed by MCH
MATERNAL INFECTIONS at any stage can cause
fetal and neonatal infections
