1. CREATION Sunday School CBC Ministry January 13, 2023

2. There are two stories of how God created it which are found at the beginning of the book of  Genesis  in the Bible.

3. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth . Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, 'Let there be light' and there was light.” Genesis 1:1-3

4. The first day - light was created

5. The second day - the sky was created

6. The third day - dry land, seas, plants and trees were created

7. The fourth day - the Sun, Moon and stars were created

8. The fifth day - creatures that live in the sea and creatures that fly were created

9. The sixth day - animals that live on the land and finally humans, made in the image of God were created

10. By day seven - God finished his work of creation and rested, making the seventh day a special holy day.

11. Day 1 – God created light. (Gen. 1:3) Day 2 – God separated the waters from the sky. (Gen. 1:6-8) Day 3 – God created land and plants. (Gen. 1:11-13) Day 4 – God created the sun, moon and stars. (Gen. 1: 14-19) Day 5 – God created fish and birds. (Gen. 1:20-22) Day 6 – God created land animals and man. (Gen. 1:24-31) Day 7 – God rested. (Gen. 2:2)
