A 2-Minute Gut Check – Featuring Richard Blank
Hey, Bob here!

Most people stick to the path laid out for them.

Richard Blank had other plans.

He could have stayed in the family real estate business—

comfortable, predictable, secure. Instead, he took a one-way ticket to

Costa Rica, thinking it would be a two-month adventure.

He never left.

Why? Because comfort wasn’t the goal.

Growth was.
That meant sleeping on floors when he had no money,

learning a new language by making mistakes,

and figuring things out the hard way.

He wasn’t scared of failing—he was scared of never trying.

Just like the message behind Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable,

Richard’s story is proof that the biggest risks often lead to the biggest rewards.

From a Leap of Faith to Lifelong Success
Richard didn’t have a safety net. He had a choice—
Play it safe or bet on himself.

He chose the second option, and it changed his life.

At 27, he walked away from an easy future and moved to Costa Rica
to work at a call center. But he didn’t just work there—

he studied everything about the industry, learning the business from the inside out.

When the time came, he took another risk: starting his own company.

Now, he’s built one of the most successful call centers in Costa Rica,

leading with integrity, relationships, and an unshakable belief in personal growth.

Lessons from Richard’s Journey
1. Take notes—literally
Most people forget details. Richard wrote everything down. It set him apart in business and
built relationships that lasted.

2. Your network is your advantage

He knew people would remember him not for what he said, but for how he made them feel.
Relationships built his career.

3. Comfort is overrated

A predictable life sounded like a slow death. Taking risks—even when the future was unclear—
was what made the adventure worth it.

Why Richard’s Story Matters

Success isn’t about luck—it’s about betting on yourself and putting in the work. Richard turned
uncertainty into opportunity. So can you.

Because the real turning point isn’t when things get easier— it’s when you decide to move
forward anyway.

Until next time,

Bob

Bob Molle, a two-time Grey Cup Champion, Olympic medalist, and leadership coach,
empowers leaders and teams to get comfortable being uncomfortable—unlocking resilience,
strengthening relationships, and driving peak performance.
Through high-energy keynotes and interactive workshops, Bob delivers actionable strategies
that help leaders, sales teams, and organizations embrace challenges, adapt to change, and

perform under pressure.
His message is rooted in the philosophy of his book, Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable
(GCBU), a guide to overcoming obstacles and thriving in uncertain environments.
The world is full of people who peaked at a young age and slowly faded into mediocrity.
Barstools around the globe are occupied by former athletes, musicians, and artists re-living
their former glories. Bob Molle is different. And he makes a difference.

Richards vision quest journey is filled with twists and turns. At 27 years old, he relocated to
Costa Rica to train employees for one of the larger call centers in San Jose. With a mix of

motivational public speaking style backed by tactful and appropriate rhetoric, Richard shared
his knowledge and trained over 10 000 bilingual telemarketers over two decades.
