The quality of technical vocational education and
training is a set of characteristics of a TVET programme
/ competence based training and of its provider, through
which mandatory standards set by TVETA and other
agencies in charge as well as stakeholder and labour
market expectations are met. TVET quality relates to the
achievement of the outcomes and competences
(knowledge, skills and attitudes) as described in the
Kenya National Qualifications Framework fulfilling the
expectations of trainees and apprentices, families,
employers, community and nation.
