IN THIS TIME, ARTISTS WANTED TO STOP MAKING THE SAME ART THAT HAS BEEN DONE FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS AND STARTED EXPERIMENTING ABSTRACTIONS . UNDER THE POPULARIZATION OF PHOTOGRAPHY, ARTISTS CAN SEE THE POINT OF NOT TO COPY REALITY ANYMORE AND USED MORE TO PAINT FREELY .

MODERN ART VS.CONTEMPORARY ART? WITH MODERN ART IT CALL WITH THE “ISM’S” LIKE IMPRESSIONISM, EXPRESSIONISM, SYMPOLISM, CUBISM,FUTURISM, FAUVISM AND SURREALISM. CONTEMPORARY ART EMERGED IN THE 1970’S TO THE PRESENT EXPERIMENTING NOT ONLY NEW MEDIUMS LIKE PERFORMANCE ART, VIDEO ART, LAND ART, INSULATION ART, AND EVEN VIRTUAL ART BUT ALSO FOCUS ON THE SOCIAL ISSUES RATHER JUST MAKING NEW AESTHETICS

MODERN ART VS.CONTEMPORARY ART?
