During the celebration of Martyr’s Day on 21.10.2018 at National Police Memorial at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, Hon’ble Prime Minister had dedicated the National Police Memorial to the Nation, which is open to general public.
To project it as a symbol of Martyrdom of Police for the Nation, it was decided by the Management Committee for the NPM for holding of Band display, Parade and Retreat Ceremony by CAPFs/CPOs and Delhi Police at NPM on all Saturdays and Sundays for a month long programme by each organization in the evening .

Accordingly, the programme was organized on the following dates .
A month long programme at National Police Memorial was organized from first Saturday i.e. 2 nd March, 2019 to 31 st March, 2019. In a solemn ceremony, RPF paid homage to Martyr’s at National Police Memorial Chanakyapuri. Flawless show was put by the Parade contingent and Band contingent. The Silent Rifle drill performed by the Commando team was highly impressive and beautifully organised.

D uring the function families of Martyr’s of RPF/RPSF from various states were witnessed the function who were presented with mementos & shawl.
During the closing ceremony, on 31 st March,2019, Shri V.K.Yadav, Chairman Railway Board was Chief Guest on the auspicious occasion. Shri Arun Kumar, DG/RPF, DG/Personal, DG/RHS, senior officers and staff of RPF and RPSF along with other visitors were present in large number to pay homage to the Martyr’s.
The chief guest presented mementoes and shawl to 23 families of Martyr’s. In total 93 family's of Martyrs from RPF/RPSF across the country and were honoured during the month long ceremony. Guided tour of the NPM museum and photo opportunity in front of wall of valour was also organized.
During the closing ceremony on 31.03.2019, The book of Martyr’s of RPF “Compendium” has unveiled by the Chief Guest Shri V.K.Yadav, Chairman Railway Board. This compendium would be a humble attempt to immortalize the heroic acts of our Martyrs and serve as a guiding spirit for generations to come.

CRB in his speech highlighted the success story of Indian Railways and emphasized the fact that RPF plays a key role in making Railways a successful, secure and passenger friendly organization. DG/RPF in his address appreciated the effort put in by the team and congratulated for organizing such a wonderful ceremony. He remembered the supreme sacrifice made by the Martyrs and assured the family members that all due facilities with be provided to them.
