INTRODUCTION
❖Unified payments interface is a system
that powers multiple bank accounts into a
single mobile application, merging several
banking features, seamless fund rounting
and merchant payments into one hood.
WHAT IS UPI
❖It is payment system launched by NPCI.
❖Facilitates fund transfer between two
bank account.
❖Supports peer to peer connection.
❖Advance versonof IMPS.
❖Supports seamless fund rousing and
merchant payments
APPLICATON OF UPI
i.Sending money to relative.
ii.Collecting money from friend.
iii.Buying on an ecommerce site.
iv.Buying railway ticket on IRCTC
application.
v.Using taxi services.
ADVANTAGES
i.One of the major advantages of UPI is that
it is fast ,hassle-free and the cheapest way
of money transfer.
ii.UPI is also very fast and a safe medium,
while you only need a UPI ID for carrying
out a transactions.
iii.It is easy to use as it only requires a single
click authentication that involves only two
factors.
DISADVANTAGES
i.Sometimes, there can be delays in
payments it takes up to 48 hours for the
money to get back to your back accounts.
ii.The UPI money transfer limit is currently Rs
100,000, which you can send to anyone
through the mobile app.
iii.Sometime UPI is very slow in money
transaction but that could be avoided by
using faster internet services.
CONCLUSION
❖In near future most of the payment will be
happen digitally, to come over the
restrictions of using plastic money, it may
be a game changer. Also its unique
features makes it a easy to adopt
technology.
