RING COUNTER LED CHASER
ABSTRACT
This project implements a Ring Counter LED Chaser, a visually engaging system
that demonstrates the principles of sequential logic. A single active state
circulates through a series of positions, sequentially illuminating LEDs to
create a continuous running light effect. The system is designed to produce
dynamic and abstract patterns, providing both an educational demonstration
of sequential systems and a visually compelling display.
DESCRIPTION
The system operates as a ring counter, where only one state is active at any
given time. With each timing pulse, the active state advances to the next
position, generating a smooth and continuous LED sequence. By adjusting the
order or timing of the sequence, the LEDs produce distinct, abstract patterns,
enhancing the visual appeal while clearly illustrating the fundamentals of
sequential logic. This design combines simplicity, reliability, and visual
engagement, making it an effective demonstration of digital sequential
systems.
