Equipment –
-a wooden or metal bar of 1.5 inch diameter /
piceof pipe rungs of ladder, stopwatch for
girls.
Pull -ups (boys)
-Appropriate height should be there that
legs of subject didn’t touch ground. Grip
should be over head palm facing away from
body. Body should be raised that chin come
up to the level of bar. Lowers the body to full
extension. Repetition as much as possible.
Only one trail.
Scoring –
Total no of pull –ups will be the final score

FLEXED ARM HANG (GIRLS)

BENT –KNEE SIT UPS
Equipment-mat for each subject , laying area for each
subject and stop watch.
-test administration –
-subject is asked to lie on mat with bent knee.
-legs not far then 12 inches from buttocks.
-angle of legs 90degree.
Subjects legs should be hold by an assistant.
-subject will start on command of ready go.
-he will do so till the time keeper says stop.
-scoring-
-total no of sit-ups is the total score.
-only one trail.
-following type of sit-ups will not be counted-
-if fingers are not clasp behind neck.
-if he comes to floor with elbows flat on mat.

ShuttleRunTest(Boys&Girls)
Equipment:Twoblocksof
wood(2"x2"x4"),astopwatch
andmarkingpowder.The
subjectshouldwearspikesor
runbarefoot.

TestAdministration:Twoparallellinesaremarked
onthefloor10yardsapartorthewidthofthe
regularvolleyballcourtsmaybeusedforthetest.
Thetwowoodenblocksareplacedbehindoneofthe
linesThesubjectisaskedtostartfrombehindthe
otherline.Onthesignalready,go,thetimerstarts
thewatchandthesubjectrunstowardstheblocks,
picks-uponeblock,runsbacktothestartingline,
placestheblockbehindthestartingline,runsback
andpicks-upthesecondblocktobecarriedback
acrossthestartingline.Assoonasthesecondblock
isplacedonthegroundthetimerstopsthewatch
andrecordsthetime.

Scoring:-Twotrialsareallowedtoeach
subjectwithsomerestinbetween.Thetime
ofthebetterofthetwotrialsisrecordedto
thenearest10thofasecondasthescoreof
thetestitem.
ImportantNote:-Iftwotimersareavailable,
itispreferabletoasktwosubjectstorunatthe
sametimefromtheoppositelines.This
arrangementdoesnotonlysavethetimebut
alsoeliminatestheneedtoreturntheblock
aftereach.Race.

StandingBroadJump:Thistest
measuresthepoweroflegsin
jumpinghorizontaldistanceandmay
beappliedtochildrenofbothsexes
agedsevenyearsandabove.
Equipment:Floor,matorlongjump
pitmaybeused,measuringtape,
markingtape/chalkorapeg.

TestAdministration:Ademonstrationofthestandingbroad
jumpisgiventoagroupofsubjectstobetested.The
subjectisthenaskedtostandbehindthestartinglinewith
thefeetparalleltoeachother.Thesubjectisinstructedto
jumpasfarthestaspossiblebybendingkneesandswinging
armstotakeoffforthebroadjumpintheforwarddirection
.Thesubjectisgiventhreetrials.
Scoring:Thedistancebetweenthestartinglineand
thenearestpointoflandingprovidesthescoreof
thetest.Thebest(maximumdistance)trialisused
asthefinalscoreofthetest.
Comments:Thisisquitesimple,practical,reliable
andobjectivetestofmeasuringathleticpowerof
legsinjumpingforward.

50YardDash(boysandgirls)Equipment:-Stopwatches
(atleasttwo)orasinglestopwatchwithasplitsecond
time.
TestAdministration:-Twolinesaremarkedonthefloor
50yardsapart.Onelineisusedasastartinglineandthe
otherasthefinishline.OnthesignalReady,Go,the
subjectsstartrunningattheirbesttoreachthefinishline
attheirearliest.Thesignal’go’isaccompaniedwiththe
downwardsweepofthestarter’sarmtogivethevisual
signaltothetimer/timerswhostands/standatthefinish
line.
Scoring:Theintervalbetweenthestartingsignalandthe
instantsubjectcrossesthefinishlineisthescoreofthe
test.Thetimeisrecordedcorrectuptotenthofasecond.

minutesandsecondsisthescoreofthistestitem.

thetesterhastoencourageallthesubjectstoruntheentire
periodof9or12minutesbutinterspersedwalkingis
allowedandtotaldistancecoveredexactlyin9or12
